bwager I Have a 15ft Fiberglass tri-hull and was wondering if there is rule as
to what size trolling motor I should buy. also is there a web sight that
explains how to rig up down riggers Thank you.....

FlyBoyMark Sounds like you do big lake fishing and need good 55 lb thrust or better. I would suggest in your case at least Minn Kota 55lb 12 volt model with at least a good group 27 battery. 24 volt in your case with about 65 lb thrust would be better. I would also consider a 5-10 hp gas four cycle kicker or maybe even a 15 or 25 hp if you use planer boards. If your going to do back trolling, make sure you use the appropriate trolling motor with splash guards on the transom. [Big Grin] 2002-05-12
