Trolling motor - Enough Thrust?

glocer Hi all -

My first post here. I have 21' 6" HydraSkiff Center console. Pretty heavy. Was wondering if a 46lb thrust trolling motor would do. Found a great deal on a used Great White with a 60" shaft (long enough for my boat).

Appreciate the help. [Confused]

J.B. Cornwell Howdy, Glocer.

I don't think so. Of course I don't know what you want to do, but I think you would still be at the mercy of winds and currents.

I have a 40# on my BW Montauk, which is light, and I don't try to combat wind or currents with it.

Good luck [Smile]

glocer Thanks JB - That's kind of what I figured. Especially fishing the TX bays, etc. 2002-05-16
